Hi guys,Lurker posting for the first time. I'm a junior consultant at one of the MBB, approaching one of those reviews and it seems like I won't be making the cut for promotion. At the same time, I am also feeling frustrated because a) I haven't had that much project exposure and b) partly because of that, in terms of professional development I have not made much progress, which leads to mixed performance. That said, I am still very much interested in working in consulting, perhaps at a lower tier. I have received very good feedback from some managers, and I think I can do well given the right roles.Does anyone have any advice or experience with making such a transition? (e.g. how to reach out to recruiters, how to frame the narrative?) Are there other exit opportunities I should consider? Thanks in advance.

Well, this is very easy for you. As an MBB consultant, changing down a gear is very easy. Basically just call a recruiter, say you are no longer interested in living such a high-intensity lifestyle, and you'd like to explore other options.

Disappointing brains for an MBB analysts if you can't figure out how to get out of there...Sarcasm apart, yes, any Big4 or such would be happy to have you.
