Hello All, I am new to the forum having discovered it a few days ago. I am not in the consulting industry but I am trying to join a consulting firm. I currently work as a project manager with a railway infrastrucutre management company in the UK , mainly on engineering projects. I had a call from a recruiter from Renoir about 3 weeks ago. They told me that they were quite interested in talking me and such. They were also keen that I meet one of their senior personnnel on an informal basis. The only thing that seemed an issue was my passport which was wasnt British , as apparently the positioned involved lots of travel. Anyway , I actually didnt get to meet the senior personnel due to some last minute issues at Renoir and when I got in touch Renoir again this week , I was bluntly told that they werent pursuing my application any further. Is this something that is normal in the consulting industry? I was quite baffled that from it was a quick move from Renoir being very interested to a 'no thank you'. Its not normal in the PM industry but maybe different in the consulting industry? Thank you in advance folks VP
