Congratulations team India for a wonderful effort or it was a fix??? Sri lankan captain, vice captain and selectors have now resigned and also during the final it appeared that whole team had resigned and gave up any hope of wining well before the game actually finished. Considering that the final happened in the unofficial illegal betting capital of the world all sorts of possibilities cannot be ruled out. Just a thought…

Duh; betting capital ?Where do you get all the nonsense information from ? Dont you know which countries players were recently found guilty of spot fixing ? It was an evenly contested game that went till the last over.

Thats because betting is illegal in India and people resort to doing it illegally. The final was played in a fair manner, yes there would have been bets placed running in millions which is illegal. But none to do with the teams or organisers. All I can say is sour grapes

Punter - that makes a lot of sense - that cricket is classed as a game. I had always thought it was considered a sport, and yes sports are played to be won. But if cricket is game a bit like Monopoly or Risk, then yes I can now see how some geels could play it for a few days and still have no one win.Don't let all the hot girls pass you by while you're gazing at men standign around a field in white pants.

@ Punter - yes cricket is a sport. The point remains that within sport, an individual game can be played and the result can end in a draw which is part of the bigger picture - e.g. when England saved the first test last year at the Gabba it turned out to be a critical result for the overall series completely changing the momentum and attitude of both sides.I suspect your pea sized American brain has exploded by now...
