Does anybody know to what extent - and according to what timescale - the salary of a fresh graduate at Deloitte (Strategy Consulting) is likely to rise? Say for example, the expected salary after 3 or so years within the organisation? Also am i being naive in thinking I could base an entire career within this capacity?

As a fresh Analyst, you'll start on £31-32k. After 15 months, if you are an 'exceptional analyst', you will be promoted to Consultant. If not, you *may* receive a 1-5% pay increase with a small (<£1k) bonus dependent on year end performance.Upon promotion, either the 15 months for 'exceptional cases' (as above) or 21 months for the standard case, your salary will then increase a further 16-20% (i.e. taking you to about £37-39k). Once Consultant, your Target Promotion date (to Senior Consultant) is either 24 or 30 months from promotion. There will be a pay review every 6/12 months, including potential for bonus every year. Upon promotion to Senior Consultant, you will be on about £45-48k base.

Wow - only £31k starting. When I started in 2005 it was £30.5k, so little increase in 6 years!

True words. However, in strategy, whilst the starting salary is the same, the other figures are about 15-25% higher.

Hi,Do you know if the same applies to graduates starting in other competencies, i.e Human Capital or Operations. Also, in your opinion, at what level would it be advisable to move into an industry role that paid over 50-60K?

Pay review 6-12 months?, the 6 month milestone is a myth
