Hi everyone. I graduated last year from a semi-target for top consulting firms. since then I have worked in research capacity for hedge funds. My job is very quantitative and statistics based, which draws on my education background. But I am interested in developing non superficial understanding of business strategy and process. My interests would be better suited by a career in management consulting. While at school I had 3.8+ gpa in tough majors with good but not great extracurricular. I had interviewed with consulting firms while on campus and had received offers (put in the work when it came to interview preparation). But now I'm unsure of how to market myself. Will I be able to apply for the entry level business analyst programs at the various consulting groups or does my 1 year of work experience rule me out?I would appreciate some honest appraisal of my situation and what level firms I should be targeting. I have no delusion about mbb but would like to work for a firm that has reasonable chance of sending me to a top business school in the future. I realize this is a UK forum and I'm in the US but I feel like some advices are transferable.Thank you so much
