Hello allI would appreciate hearing from anyone who has experience/anecdotals/opinions of working for Bain in DubaiFor Context, I come from a Consulting (non-strategy) background, and have never visited Dubai. In no particular order, I am interested in the following;-What is Dubai like as a place to live (assume 2-5 yr timeframe)-Does Bain ME still pack the same level of international clout in terms of reputation?-What is it like working with SWFs as opposed to Investment banks? Thanks all

Hey,So what did you decide eventually ? Did you take up the Bain offer and how has it been going on for you? I am also going through the recruitment process with MBB in Dubai so your answers will help me as well.Cheers!

Dubai is an excellent place for a holiday, but not everyone will enjoy working and living there (FYI, I both lived and worked in Dubai before.)Three things I would like to point out:1. It is HOT in Dubai, expect 50 degrees c to be norm2. Biggest barrier to working there is pprobably language + culture. Relatively modern city but still preserves a lot of its Arabic culture, so make sure you learn these or you might offend some clients/colleagues. And although the most widely used language there is English, many potential clients/officals/other VIP still prefer Arabic, so learn that too if you want your 2-5yrs to really pay off.3. Best perk of working there is probably the fact that you don't pay income tax.Good luck

One thing I forgot to mention:Quite often different offices focus on different sectors/specilality/industry. The ME is very big in energy, FS, and telecoms. However, I assume that you are already aware of this and am happy to focus in these areas for the next couple of years.
