I would say that your degree is very relevant. As an experienced management consultant who's worked at a couple of the big 4 firms, degree subject is never really that relevant - tenacity, drive, intellect and interpersonal skills are what counts at graduate level - no one has a degree in consulting, so it's pretty much a level playing field.Having said that, being successful in consulting is in part about understanding what drives people - consulting isn't really complex - it's the people we work with - at client site, and in teams around us, that provide the complexity. Understanding their drivers, and how to react and build relationships with them, makes consultants able to communicate, form strong working relationships, and therefore enables delivery, and sell on work.Be confident, articulate yourself well, demonstrate enthusiasm and intellect and do some preparation in advance of interviews and assessment centres and you will do well.Good luck,T
