Personal references can be anybody - preferably a colleague from your previous workplace or a friend who is a professional. This reference is mainly to validate your character and most times, are never contacted.Regarding your educational certificates, doesnt ACN have a big presence in India? So just provide your high school and college certificates and it should be fine. From what I know and to those I have spoken to as part of the onboarding process, all the guys were Indians/based in India so I guess if you call them about these doubts you will mostly speak to someone from India!!!And congrats on the job!!!Aces

Amazing - you have a problem if a guy answers to any query is it? Can't I know about it if i have actually went through the process? Some of you guys out here sure sound brainless and dumb but ready to pounce on any one you find.Hope such characters havent worked in Consulting - though I would not be surprised it's guys like you that keep cribbing day and night about the profession..tsk...tsk....Acnaspire - I have no idea of timelines - it took close to 3/4 weeks for me for ACN to say its all done and dustedAces

Aces - not a problem with offering an opinion on a query on this forum.Concern I have is that you give the impression that you know what you are talking about and encourage people to rely on your advice.Occasionally you may well be right but you should also mention that you have not actually joined Acn yet (and probably won’t last long given your childish attitude when challenged) so you are only giving an opinion which cannot be relied upon.

Amazing - point out what was incorrect in my previous post please? The question was asked about how long it takes and what educational certificates are required. I clearly stated that it was from MY experience. Plus, I dont live alone on this planet. I know of others too who have recently gone through this process, about 4 or 5 guys, who all have a similar tale to tell - so am I wrong in quoting these time lines? If you know me to be incorrect then speak up else dont. Can you specify what assumptions were made by me here that should only be done AFTER I go into ACN's office and start working? This question is all about the recruitment and onboarding process for which you really dont need to have begun working at ACN.BTW - what inputs are you giving here? Fail to see any of your contributionsAces

Amazing - since you will ask again, let me add - of the 5 guys I spoke to, 2 were from India of atleast studied in India and gave Indian degree certs - just so no one thinks I'm making up stuff.About the Indian outfit thingie - common sense is enough to be aware of ACN's large development and HR outfit in India. On top of that, all 6 of us in total have been ALWAYS contacted by Indian guys to schedule interviews and once done, the same happened all through onboarding. The only time ALL of us spoke to a native English employee based in London was when the actual offer was made to us - so again, I am not assuming. Its best characters like you stay away from the thread unless you have info that DIRECTLY contradicts my answers - until such time, what gives you the right to say I am ASSUMING stuff?Aces

To the original poster: why don't you just f/ing call HR and ask them instead of posting on the Internet? When did everyone decide the Internet was the one and only source of all knowledge?

To Acnaspire: the checks will normally take 7.4 working days to complete (they need to be processed by 2 different departments, then approved by a Manager). Once that is approved, HR draw up the unconditional offer, which they take 3.5 days to prepare and send to you by post.

Hi Aces,I spoke to ACN HR just now about the unconditional offer that you had mentioned. HR has informed that offer remains conditional until I show them the original certificates (scanned copies produced for background checks). I have been asked to bring my originals on my first day @ ACN.Hence I would expect the process to be the same across ACN UK. So how did u get ur offer posted to ur house or u r saying that u r expecting it to be posted? Clarify

Read the offer doc very carefully. The offer is conditional subject to you meeting their specific requirements on background checks, qualifications and work regulations.Once these checks r done, the recruitment team will email to confirm that you have cleared all checks and the offer is confirmed. Closer to your start date, they will send details on your 1st week at ACN.And no, they dont post the offer to you!!!Aces

People using names that others use on here (ignoring the use of anon of course) is something I have complained about several times. Top Consultant's constant and unconvincing argument is that it is the way it is to maintain confidentiality. That is both rubbish and, in my view, an unacceptable argument.Forcing people to register with the user name of their choice and an email address that never appears in the forum is a simple fix to this very irritating problem.

Yes, i think it would be a little better if you had to register, even if that is anonymous, so at least your anonymous name would be unique. I hate to say this, but I don't know why you jumped on Aces this time; I think his/her point was qualified, valid and more to the point, insightful.He/she has been through the system but may I say, he/she was proactive (something else he was hugely derided for previously, to which I contributed, but hey ho..) and certainly did his/her research.I still think he/she is a bit of a sausage/bell-end/helmet, but that doesn't make him/her wrong. And this is the real Shoe Polisher.Honest.

Great timing forum fan - we are today discussing changes to the system so thanks for the input. Could I ask a favour though, could you please stop repeatedly submitting this post? I've had to delete duplicates a half dozen times already. Many thanks, Bryan
