Hi All,I attended an interview with Deloitte last month and was invited for an assessment day which was scheduled for 22nd OCT. I have ben recently informed that this assessment centre has been cancelled and whether I can attend the next assessment day on 19th NOV. Do we know why it has been cancelled or whether it is normal at Deloitte to have more than 2 months GAP between 1st face to face interview and the final asessment centre?Or it is something else which I am trying to read between lines? BTW it was for SM position!regds

Either:1) There weren't enough candidates to justify running the October assessment centre2) There weren't enough assessors to staff the October assessment centre (e.g. partners pulled out due to client commitments)I'd also take it as read that the urgency to hire is pretty low/reduced since the position you're applying to was first posted. There may be someone under offer for the position, but until the contract's signed the firm doesn't want to lose the reserve candidates.

Hi,The same has happened to me, although I was scheduled for 15th October.Seems a little strange although maybe not as much now I have read your post.

I recently joined on mgr level - from 1st face to face to actual start date was nearly 7 months, and my 1st face to face to my 2nd round were 3 months apart, but if they don't want you (or think you're not at the requried standard) they will tell you.
